AC Box insulation shield

Currently got the engine out of my 97 Ranger with factory air, where do you get the replacement insulation shield for the air AC box? Haven't been able to find one.

If not, what would be best to use to create a similar insulation shield? Self adhesive dynomat with foil?

Im replacing my factory exhaust manifolds with JBA headers which give off a lot more underhood heat...

Any auto parts place should sell it in rolls, even hardware stores

Google: heat shield insulation

Alright ill just install the generic sound proofing insulation mat with adhesive backing on the air box.

What about the transmission heat shield? Mine is missing i think. The ATSG 5r55e transmission manual shows this on page 115. The part number appears to be F87Z-7F013-BA. Is this necessary?

On second thought, im gonna have to wait and see until i get the drivetrain reinstalled in the truck and get the new exhaust installed when it arrives. I ordered JBA headers and an aftermarket Ontario cat pipe with only one cat (back portion). Perhaps the active cat may not be near the servos in the transmission.

For the aftermarket cat pipe (made by Ontario Exhaust) the first cat section closest to the engine is the actual cat and the next section or hump is a empty section with no catalyst material inside. Regardless, a heat shield will probably be needed as it will be fairly close to the 2 servos on the transmission. Instead of paying Ford $50 at the dealer, ill see about making one up.
