Will these wheels/tires fit my 2001?

I'm looking at buying some wheels and AT or snow tires for my 2001 Ranger 2.3 RWD. Found an ad for a set of 245/75/R16 Dunlop Rovers on 16" wheels. I currently have 225/70/R15 tires on the original 15" wheels.

Will these larger wheels/tires fit on my truck?

Wheels or Rims must have the correct lug/stud pattern, also backspacing, info here: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...fitment-guide/

Ranger used 5×4.5 bolt pattern
14" or larger wheel is needed to clear brake calipers or drums

So as far as the ad, you would need to find out what vehicle the WHEELS came off of, and then look up its pattern and back spacing

Tires need to fit in the wheel wells without rubbing, this usually only matters for front tires since they need to turn

Google: 245/75/R16 diameter

Comes up as 30.5"

Then look at your driver's door label, back edge of driver's door, you will find the Stock tire size
You can usually go 2" diameter larger than stock without any rubbing

Google: "stock tire" diameter

Current 225/70/R15 diameter is 27.4"
If that's stock size then 30.5" would probably rub, you would want to stay under 29.5"

And its ALL a judgment call, because at 21 years old(2001 Ranger), a vehicle's suspension may be sagging a bit, so 2" more "could rub" when turning

Thanks, Ron. Ad says they came from a 2001 Ranger. The bolt pattern matches. My sticker says stock size is 225/70/R15. I'll ask the seller if his truck was raised.

Update: Seller says these wheels/tires were OE on his father's Ranger. It's a 4x4. I wonder if the clearance is greater on the 4x4 than on mine.
