Where is my RCM?

2000 XLT 4.0 (made 11/99). Is it under the cupholders/CD holder between the seats? If so, how do you remove this? I don't see any bolts anywhere. Or is it under the cupholders beneath the stereo? Or under the passenger seat??

On a related note, can anyone confirm that I don't have seatbelt pretensioners? I don't see them, but..

Thanks for any help!

Okay, maybe I do have a pretensioner on the driver side only.

Yes, in a 2000 Ranger RCM should be bolted on the top of transmission tunnel; under a cupholder

Thanks Ron.

For anyone looking here in the future: the 2000 XLT (at least) has two sets of cupholders. The RCM is under the front set--under the radio--not under the center console set. It's easy to get to; remove the plastic cupholder thingys and then remove the rubber mats underneath them. Turn the fasteners with a flathead and the whole plastic cupholder tray comes right off. RCM has three 10mm nuts to remove.

Center console is a little more complicated and just my luck to look there first.
