Hello i just recently purchased a 2005 cord ranger edge with the 4.0 4x4 it’s runs amazing on flat ground until i go up a hill it will bounce off 3k rpm’s and jerk like the engine is cutting out. No trouble codes appear. I just installed a new transmission range sensor (or a neutral safety switch some people call it) to fix a hard to move column shifter and i don’t know if that could also fix my problem of not shifting up hill. Also this problem only happens a couple times and than goes away and never comes back till the next day. i just wanna get an idea of what i will need todo i’m prepared to put a new transmission in🥲

Does the OD OFF button work?

Does the OD OFF light ever Flash, this means transmission codes were set, so you need to read the codes

Can you manually downshift when going up hill?
