Transmission swap/conversion

I'm looking to change out the 5r55e transmission in my Mazda b4000 4.0 ohv and put in a 8hp70. I haven't found any adapters for the 8hp and Ford cologne V6 4.0. Would anyone know of a place to get adapter plates, or a bell housing that could connect the two of that's the case like using a LS Bell housing for example.

Also anyone know which vehicle would be best for me to take the 8hp70 from? Maybe a bmw or a 1500?

Closest adapter is for Ford Small Block V8s, so you will need to make one

How are you going to "run" the 8HP70, stand alone trans mission computer?

Honestly haven't worked that part of. There is no swaps of the 8hp's with really any rangers that I can find... Could maybe look for a coyote 5.0 sway to a 8hp but even then not sure if there is an adapter for that.

Any reason you want the 8HP70?
Has the same issues of any automatic, from what I read, which is that its an automatic, lol

The 5R55E was around for 26 years and in millions of Ford vehicles, so has a good track record, or Ford would have dumped it long ago, lol
But it IS an Automatic, so..................................after 250k-300k miles plan on spending $3,500 to replace or rebuild

Problem with most rebuilt automatics is soft parts only, bands and clutches, need to also replace pump, sprags, and OD drum at least, which cost more
With soft parts rebuild you might get a 12 month warranty, good rebuild will have 3 to 5 year warranty, but should last another 10-15 years
