Buzzing sound when Max A/C is on

Hello everyone, well my problem is quite simple, when I turn my A/C to Max I hear this buzzing noise but only when I turn it to Max ( weird huh? )I don't hear it when it's just on A/C, so I took it to the dealership and the guy told me it could be a piece of paper or plastic stuck in the blower and that he will charge me $ 100 dls to get rid of it because it's not under warranty , I said no to that offer, anyways, should I take it to another dealership and get a second oppinion on the matter or should I attempt to remove it myself ? does anyone know how to take that apart ? is it difficult to get that out ? thanks for all the help...

Max AC operates a vacuum servo that closes the outside air intake door and recirculates interior air. The valve may be fluttering or there may be a loose piece of something in or around the door.

The HVAC blower fan operates the same way whether you're in Max AC or Normal AC; the only difference is the above mentioned fresh air door position.

If, on the other hand, you're talking about the maximum blower speed, that could be leaves or paper or whatever contacting the blower impeller.

To access the blower plenum, disconnect the battery neg cable, disconnect the blower motor plug connector and remove the 3 or 4 small screws that retain the blower mounting plate to the AC plenum box. This is under the hood on the passenger side firewall. With the blower out, you can inspect the inside of the plenum for debris.

Mine did that a few weeks ago... I just turn it over to defrost, and then back to max a/c and it wasnt buzzing any more.
