well i'm going to attempt upper and lower ball joints uppers are coming with control arms, can anyone tell me a degree of difficulty i should expect from this, along with some tips and steps, also needed tools and such right now from research i've gathered

Tools needed:
4x4 ball joint press
pickle fork tool
32mm or 34mm socket for cv
basic socket set to remove caliper, hanger, upper control arms, and rotor
pliers for snap ring
anything else im forgetting?

i did search but a how to on this would be perfect!

its not really a hard job just fusturating i think you got most of the tools listed.

 

The hardest part for me was separating the spindle from the lower ball joint. I just would not give.

 

that hardest part for me was gettin the lower ball joint back in.

 

I removed my t-bars and didn't remove the spindle like most. Instead I unbolted the lower control arm and was able to pry it out with a pickle fork.
