No, it's a valid point. Fact is, it's illegal wheeling, and all it takes is some green, tofu eating, prius driving treehugger to submit that and everything gets shut down. As far as I'm concerned, be a dick to the people that wheel illegally, maybe then they'll learn from it, or just give up wheeling cause they want nothing to do with it. Sorry, my patience for illegal wheeling, trashing the trails, etc has really diminished and it's only getting worse.

So, with that, Stone way to put it to em... the OP, sorry bout your loss, but next time don't cut fences or trespass... find a solid, legal public trail and have fun.
Finally someone who isnt being a ***** about speaking up i hate people that illegally wheel on peoples property it pisses me off and hurts the offroad community...

That totally blows dude... really? 2 Tickets? For the same thing? You should be able to get one dropped... but I'm with Stone... living in a liberal state all the ORV parks are closing/going to hell 'cause no one takes care of them.... wheel where you're allowed so the rest of us don't suffer.

Stone, one of these days you'll meet me face to face and learn that I don't tollerate illegal wheeling, or going off the trail...

there's a reason I have a Stay the Trail Colorado sticker on the truck, the quad... and a solid supporter of it.

There's a spot here in town that's basically a vacant piece of land that over the years has drawn attention. I've gone down there, but didn't know it was illegal till my neighbor (cop in that jurisdiction) told me it was. From then on, I have yet to go out and lecture everyone I know that does go down there

ILLEGAL is ILLEGAL, not matter how much of a "non-issue" it seems...

BUT, then again you're young once and everyone makes mistakes, god knows I have, just let it be a lesson for the future and it's all groovy

Here ya go Stone and Chuck.... my cousin lives out in town that's still pretty undeveloped. Well accross the street from him there's a piece of property that's against railroad tracks and vacant. Him and his neighbor (who I guess is bat sh*t crazy) were tired of people wheeling on this property and draggine dirt, rocks, etc. into the road, so they took a backhoe and dug a ditch. From my understanding it's about 6'x6'x4'... they filled it with water and waited. Well, about a week later a jeep comes through and gets stuck. While he's waiting for someone to tow him out the neighbor goes over and tells him he has plate numbers, never come back, blah blah blah. Another week goes by and they catch a Super Duty. I guess this kid starts begging for help 'cause it's his dad's truck... lol. Well no one has been wheeling for a month and then someone came up and actually made it through the puddle... so what did they do?? They made it bigger and deeper... lol

There's a trail up near Boulder that got closed indefinately last summer due to assclowns trashing it. It was a fun trail, but it's fuel to the fire. My favorite trail, Chinamans Gulch has been threatened because people tear up the service road to get to the trail head bby bogging in it, and destroying it. Sad thing is, I'm so active in the community here, it's a never ending battle, so thats why my patience has diminished. I've run trails before where people throw their trash out the window ahead of us, so I'll gather it up, catch up to them, hand it back and tell them if I find one more piece of trash on the trail PERIOD I'll be calling both the county sheriff to meet em down at the trail head AND USFS. Same goes for drinking on the trail... trust me, they don't want to deal with 2 littering tickets or 2 DUI's.

I guess I missed something that the OP had posted. Everyone is harping on illegal wheeling and trespassing, yet the OP mentioned nothing of the sort. From his pics I can see trails and other forms of motorized vehicles.
A member mentioned cutting fences, WTF? Unless the OP has said that he did any of this and then edited his post to delete it, I'm lost.

I just see a guy that went wheeling and drove through a mini-lake and hydro locked his Ranger. I don't see how bashing the guy solves anything. He's got NO ride now.
Damn.

Then I guess for you it's tough ****. I drive 2.5-3 hrs ONE WAY to hit a LEGAL trail in the mountains, so I'm not going to show any sympathy for how far you have to drive man. Again, I have no tollerance for illegal 4 wheeling.

Everyone chill the f*** out.

I'm sure he learned his lesson from the tickets and won't be doing it again. And you can't tell me that 90% of us have never gone somewhere we shouldn't have with our trucks.

Illegal off-roading is bad, I agree, but let's just chill.

Whereabouts in Ontario are you? I know plenty of awesome public trails but they're 2 1/2 hours north of Toronto.

ya well i would of not been in that part if i knew it was illegal they had no signs or anything anywhere and you can tell that it was a trail but i found out that it was used for military training and things because it was part of ft. hood i have talked to the courts about putting signs up or telling people in someway that that trail is off limits the thing is that there are a couple lakes out there that you can fish in and everything but there is more then one way to get to them so i wanted to take the "fun " way out there never again tho

out st. catharines way, so if they are 2.5 hours north toronto, they'd be 3.5-4 for me to get there. where abouts are they anyways? i wouldn't mind making a trip some day
