Got bored.

Being as it's been my only day off, I finished most of my errands and stuff, so I was sitting around twiddling my thumbs. So I decided to go wash my truck, and go for a short hike, then go take pictures. Drove by my friends parents property to see the crosses they put up, then just drove home.

Chevy whoreage:

And my favorite picture from the day:

I think next week or the week after is officially owning my truck for 2 months, and I already have put almost 4,000 miles on it. That's more then I did with the Ranger and the Dodge in the same amount of time. I've had to drive a lot farther for work, and do a lot more driving in general, though.

Odometer reading from the night I brought it home:

Today before I left my house (put another 30 or so miles on it):

And my final question is this: Anybody know how to get cow doo doo off of paint? I've washed my truck three times since it got on there (stupid me wearing my wet poopy gloves while getting in the truck), and it STILL won't come off. Haven't tried anything else, though:

Looks good. I've always liked that chrome tape at the bottom on trucks, as long as it doesn't have all the gay chrome Wal-Mart door trim and fender trim. As for the cow poo, you could always just wet sand a little if nothing else works.

Thanks! I think I'm going to leave the chrome strip, too. It's going with the theme of the truck, and I am too lazy to remove it anyway.

And doesn't wet sanding remove the clear coat?

Not if you use 2000 grit wet paper and sand lightly.

It's going great. I looked at it a little today. Then I looked at something else. Then I glanced at it. Then I glanced at something else

I got a side job for the next couple of weekends, so I probably won't touch it for another month or so, lol. That, and I am talking to a friend of mine about moving in with him, so I may have to move it to his garage.

Get that cow **** off as fast as you can. I got some on my rocker panels, left it for a week and it ate right through the paint. Apparently the fecal matter from cows is at par with turpentine.

I can't decide if I want to do that, exhaust, or tint next. All are about the same price.

Yup, still snow. In fact, the place I went to take a hike today still had quite a bit of snow there. That's why it was a quick hike, lol.

I have friends. I can get a muffler for $50, and installed for $60. Tint for my truck is $180, and a leveling kit is $250 + shipping. To me, that's roughly in the same ball park.

I remember when I was there in August we had a snowball fight a few times. Nothing like hiking through snow in a sleeveless shirt and shorts.

Try claying it maybe? Clay takes off a lot of stuff.

And I love the truck jim, but I'm not digging the chrome on the sides, looks cheesy to me. But the rest of the truck is great. And i agree leveling kit first, tint, then exhaust.
