picked this up for free. started sanding it yesterday after its sanded down primer than paint. plans fot it are getting a rack and hi jack and 4 more hella lights to put on top of the topper. also adding my other military water proof storage box in the bed and putting a twin size air bed, emergency blankets, and a air bed pump and small pillows. put it right next to my other military box that holds the tow strap, chains, clevis hooks, tie downs, first aid kit, and fire starting materials. the more storage space the better. i plan on getting alot more into camping next year as well as heading up north in michigan to the huge wildlife forest preserves. u can never have enough storage and emergency supplies in case something happens. also putting fishing rod holders in there as well as a gun rack possibly. alot of black bears and mountain lions up north now. had two black bear spottings down here where i live and there hasnt been bears down here for years and years and years.

 

damn you. I picked up a topper for $175 this weekend and I thought I got a good deal... I'm wanting to do the the same thing you are though, already got a roof basket for it. you're ahead of me though on paint prep... and everything else...

I will post some more full on shots later tonight after it dries and I can drive it down to the beach. I just used plasti dip on them for now to see if I will like the black paint. I am undecided after some chops that were done. Two cans of plasti dip and about an hour and now I will be able to tell. Here is a full on shot for now.

I hauled some Sod today. It was only 30 rolls. Didn't even squat a little bit.

I've had it for a few months. Tow mirrors, tires, exhaust, painted rockers. That's it for now though. Maybe a level in a couple weeks but that will be it until I get a commuter car/bike. Then after that and when its paid off maybe a LT kit.
