May be the next to do the F150 mod...

Of course I'd be keeping the Ranger though. :biggthump

Larson Ford - Pre-Owned Inventory

My wife and I were checking out an F250 on the lot, but it had a few things wrong with it, so we left it there and started looking at the 150's. We test drove this truck and liked it, so we talked about the price. Got the dealer down $3000, to $21,000 out the door with taxes and registration.
The truck is a 2006 extended cab with 32,000 miles, power everything, tilt clumn, cruise control, cd radio, 4x4, 5.4 liter V8, clean inside and out; we're still waiting to find the gear ration. Sound like a good deal?

EDIT: SEE POST # 25

Looks like a pretty solid truck. Gonna turn the ranger into a trail truck?

edgerider2002 07-20-2009 08:37 PM

looks good but damn those rims are dirty

I'd like to keep the Ranger as a DD/trail truck, so we'll see what happens. The F150 will primarily be my wife's, until I can find her 66 Ford Bronco that she wants.

I saw that too, the whole truck is dirty in those photos, I can't believe they put the photos up like that. Everything is clean now, otherwise we wouldn't even have looked at it.

looks beat! idk 21 sounds steep. i got my 05 for under 14 out the door with 35950 miles on it.

04blackedge 07-20-2009 10:38 PM

Zach I don't see how the heck you got it for that price. I paid 17 out the door for mine, with a trade in.

Robin Hood 07-20-2009 10:55 PM

is that a manual transfer case?

He used the gun to the head sales tactic.

Damn, thats a killer deal.

And I agree, 21k seems expensive. I'd say continue shopping.

well it was a bit more than that with taxes and junk. but not much. 14500 maybe? i dont remember for sure. still it was priced at 13900 when i got there.

jlstang351 07-21-2009 06:24 AM

Yea 21K is way to high for a base model truck like that. Keep looking!! Should be able to find a loaded FX4 or lariat for cheaper than that.

winks 07-21-2009 07:31 AM

Wow, 21k is steep? Seems everything is more expensive in this area of NJ, think that could be it?

And yes Robin Hood, it's a manual transfer case

zabeard 07-21-2009 08:16 AM

possible. prices vary a lot around here

Sea-Bass 07-21-2009 08:46 AM

Yeah, 21K is steep for that...keep looking

yetti96 07-21-2009 08:52 AM

I say steep too my '04 FX4 (scab) with 39k on it was $11.9k +TTT with leather an all. Then they gave me like 1500 over KBB on my ranger. Not sure how they made money on my deal, but I was very pleased with it.

crazymikey 07-21-2009 10:26 AM

I find this funny how everyone that's sold their Ranger lately has bought an F150 and then I go and sell mine and buy an even smaller truck.

darkstar_420 07-21-2009 12:46 PM

hey we dont all sell our rangers.........i still have both of mine :biggthump

BLK02 07-21-2009 07:29 PM

Odd, but the prices are like that all over NJ. We drove an hour and a half to the south end of the state checking out prices.

Going to look at an '06 F250 today -black, extended cab, 23,000 miles, listed at 26k, going to see if we can talk them down to around $20k. Looks good in the photos.

jlstang351 07-22-2009 07:15 AM

Now your talking. Hope the 250 works out for ya!

winks 07-24-2009 08:56 AM

Here's the next one we're looking at

2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty, Woodbridge, NJ, Pickup, Loman Ford-Kia Stock: 5EB41766

The 250 we saw on Wednesday was really nice, but we couldn't talk them down past $23,400 so we left. I am going to see this one today after work and take it for a test drive. It's got nearly twice the mileage, but the starting price being over $4,000 below is enough for me to overlook that.
