I know it needs some work, but I love this truck. I want to swap from 2wd to 4wd. Also, I want to upgrade the motor. Not sure what I want to put in yet though. Also, need a back bumper and new blacked out headlights and turn signals.

To be quite honest, I'm not sure. I just bought it about 2 weeks ago. I have some work I have to do to it.

I just asked the guy about the lift. He said it was stock with the torsion bars cranked all the way.

I only paid $2,500 for it so I'm pleased. Is it possible to put in a 302 and make it 4wd? I mean without spending an arm and a leg?

Yeah, I thought so too. And I'm guessing it's going to be really hard to try to put a bumper on cuz I'll have to have brackets or something welded on.

i'd say the easiet thing to do would put a rollpan in, but it might be hard to color match it. if defiantly looks like the bumper brackets were chopped off.

yeah otherwise if nto for a rollpan, your gonna have to chop off that section of the frame and get it welded onto yours (that would be the best fix).

I believe the sections of the frame that the bumper mounts to are still there.

i wanna say that it has rear end damage from being rear ended. look at the gaps for the tailgate and the bottom parts of the quarter panels.

probably explains the cheap price too.

Ok. I found this 01 ranger xlt at the jy. Can I take the front suspension and all to use to swap my truck to 4x4? I know that I'd have to get a transfer case from a truck with a 3.0 and all. Also, when I do the swap, could I do it electronic where I can just flip the switch and have it swap to 4wd?
