is yours a 4x4 model? how does it do towing? im curious because i have a kid on the way and ive been lookin into either getting a 4dr taco or a landrover freelander, since US ford never came out with the awesome 4dr ranger
I bought my wife a 2002 ext cab 4wd new for her birthday in Dec 2001. .Been a great ride.
But I didn't follow the instructions to grease the rear u-joint every oil change. It really likes to eat them.
Also got a bushing kit for the steering rack as the stock bushings wear out quick and steering gets pretty sloppy.I've only had to replace the brakes once in 125k.

from my brakes being brand new, all the way down to bare metal, lasted me 90k. the only problem i have had with the truck, is broken driver side, 3rd one from the top, leaf spring, and the 2 peice drive shaft u-joint started shaking, so replaced that. no other problems to date.
