New Truck

Since my Ranger got totaled I needed to get another truck and there wasn't and decent 4X4 rangers for sale around here so I had to go with the best deal.

I ended up buying a 1997 Toyota T100 4x4 with a supercharged 3.4L V6, K&N intake, TRD Headers, 5-speed, and 41,000 miles. It has power everything and I must say it is a pretty bad *** truck.

Wow that thing has some low miles for the year. Supercharged 3.4? Stronger than a 4.0 SOHC you think?

Well holy crap. That thing must move then! It's begging for some aftermarket rim/tires though.

I like it. I drove it from Colorado to Tennessee and it drove better then my 03 ranger did. The 4x4 works great and the engine has plenty of power(with the Supercharger). It is pretty much a full size and doesn't get horrid mpg.

The stock 3.4 push out like 160 hp and the blower adds about another 60. Close to 300 but not over it. That motor will last you forever and when it blows there are so many around that it will be cheap to fix. Nice truck for sure.

Tacos with the same engine must have had less power.

Edit: Nevermind same power. Still though the blower will only add like 60hp. Also the blower's nickname is fire breather since there is no intercooler to cool the intake air.

SICK! i love those trucks!

Time for some real tires tho.

Can we see the supercharger? I dunno who told you it has 300hp.. the 3.4 makes 190hp stock... with the charger and bolt ons you'll be lucky to see 240 @ the wheels.

sorry but I'm throwing my bs flag up on that. I had a 2002 Tacoma prerunner 3.4 v6 with the 2nd generation TRD supercharger and every bolt on and tune and I could only pull a 246 whp dyno and a 14.3 quarter mile. You would need at least a 75 shot to get Over 300 hp. Nice truck tho. Let's see that supercharger....

Hehe yep. I'm a very mouthy. Incorrect drunk. LOL. Personally I think a 4.0 ranger edge 2x4 with bolt ons will blaze a s/c'd Tacoma/t100. But the t100 will last a lifetime. My boss has one with 313k miles.

Put the pic in the main post, but once you drive the truck you realize it has more then 240hp. This truck is crazy.

You guys are talking 240hp at the rear wheels it may then make 300hp at the engine.

The aftermarket world is huge for Toyota's. Much better than Rangers. I hope you like it. It looks like a nice low mileage truck.
