Icon2 NEW V8 project>>>

Picked up this 95 Ranger XLT that somebody had used as a parts truck, they used the bed & rearend. I'm gonna put either a Explorer or Mustang 8.8 under it, whichever is the narrowest, as I'm goin to a Explorer rear suspension setup, as in mountin the springs under the frame, which should give me clearance for some 15X12 or 15X14 inset wheels & some 31X12.5X15 Hoosier Pro Street tires in the back.

Haven't decided if I'm gonna attempt to pull the radiator support, or just replace it............

The 2.3L & 5spd will be listed in the classifieds when I getem out, may be a lil' while, as I just had a heart cath, echocardiogram, & endoscopy done this past Wed & Thurs, so I've gotta heal a lil' before hittin the garage.

Here's some pics of it when I brought it home:

Man if a couple more pieces were taken you would have been left with just the chassis. Good luck man, and keep us posted.

Looks like its going to me an awesome build.

I am pretty sure the explorer mounts the springs under the frame because their frame is wider than ranger's frame. So you won't be actually saving room.

Yes, the Explorer springs are under the frame............and I'm usin Explorer front spring brackets & homemade rear shackle brackets to move my Ranger springs UNDER the frame.............

Here's a pic of the Ranger setup:

NOW, picture the springs mounted UNDER the frame & look at the amount of room there is for PRO STREET tires & able to get em inside the wheelwells.

I might have to mini-tub the box, but that's no big deal............

I'll post pics of the setup when I get it done.............

Icon11 CHANGE IN PLANS!

My Son decided he wanted the 95 cab for his 93, as it's in better shape than his & he likes the 95 dash better...........

SO, I picked up another 94 roller, was 3.0, 5spd...........plans are to swap out the engine compartment ac/heater box to a non-ac heater box & make it more of a DD....

Here's pics:
