where'd the 500 figure come from? Aren't they 385 or 400 in stock form?
that's what i though, someone i went to school with blew his motor and had one built, nothing was stock except the blower still supposedly and he was only at 450 to the wheels in Texas.

Meh, he just spent a wholllle lotta money on the swap, i doubt he's going to drop another 6 grand for a KB or Whipple, LOL.

Good news; we are picking up the truck early this week, possibly tomorrow!

Yeah that's at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes..

Well the hood needs to be wheeled out today - and tomorrow we are busy, so it looks like we are going to pick it up on Wednesday.

Well we've had the truck for a couple weeks and lemme tell ya, its a BEAST. With almost 500 HP on tap, this thing accelerates IN OVERDRIVE, going UP A HILL, while TOWING the trailer. Its just insane.

Anyway, here are the finished pics

If you ever need any info on the motor. Just PM me. I know a little too much about gen 2 lightnings. (My 02 L is pushing 800hp now)

About the only thing I'd suggest if he's not already addressed it. Is a L&S oil seperator.

i am in love. although i have always loved the lightning motor. that hood really sets the truck off. makes it a very nice overall package

This is the only dyno sheet we have.



With the transfer case + tires & gears, a 25% drivetrain loss is expected. Figuring that, it is right around 475hp and 585lb-ft of tq. at the crank. After its broken in he'll be in for one last tune.
