Yeah I think you need a few more or at least mount those behind the grille. It kind of looks like truck has buck teeth or something.

im adding two more once i strengthen the mounts, i didnt want to put them behind the grille because i think that it looks a bit ****ty like that, just my opinion, you cant tell from the pics but i made some light tabs, that way i didnt drill into the bumper.

well i sorta just scrubbed them with some warm soapy water, dried em in front of a big *** propane heater, then sprayed them with dark grey primer, until they became that color, no actual "paint" used.

How'd you mount 'em? Have you looked into light tabs? The no-drill awesome way to mount lights??? I ran 4 KC's for the past few years on mine usng home-made 1/4" light tabs using existing bumper hardware with a crossmember between 'em.

i made two light tabs out of 1/4inch steel, and then i drilled out the rivets that hold the license plate on, and replaced them with bolts. so i have light tabs that are bolted to the front of the bumper, behind the license plate

ohhh. Did you not see this option? I guarantee you it's ALOT sturdier of a setup compared to what you've got there and I find it alot more pleasing to the eyes.

They're 0.250x1.500 flat bar and they mount to an existing bumper bolt on the backside of the bumper(pic below). (will only work on 98-05 trucks) I then put on a crossmember between the two and BAM! 4 lights.

I'm not doggin' your setup at all. It's different and it is good looking. I just think a different way of mounting would have resulted in a cleaner setup knowing you're going to be going with 4 lights here shortly like you said earlier.

i just did it the way i did because i didnt have the time to unbolt my bumper, and do it that way. i will probably remake my mounts like that in a few weeks once 4th quarter of my welding class begins, because for the last 9 weeks of school we can work on anything that we want to work on. i just did it this way because of the amount of time i have, between school, and army training. i know there are cleaner ways of doing it, and i was going to do it the way yours are mounted, but just didnt want to mess with taking off the bumper at the time.

I never touched the bumper for the install....i just happened to take that pic for people who ask where they mount. I had it off for either the front hitch install or new bumper bracket insall. I only snaked the brackets up from the bottom and tightened them down. removal of the grille makes install alot easier. Then mount your lights to the brackets.

have fun man! sounds like a cool class.

again, not trying to say your setup isn't good, just saying there's other options out there you could look into. I do like yours because it's different than the rest who do two lights on these light tabs.

i keep hearing about how easy it is to do stuff by taking the grille off, but the one time i did take it off to paint it, it was a ***** getting it off, and a ***** getting it back on.
