Pics From The Wheeling Trip

Trip went great, I pushed the truck to the limits and found them. Tires handled awesome, def need to regear the axles though, just trying to hold off on that until I do a solid axle swap. Scratched the **** out of the truck and the new 06+ mirrors. Got stuck pulling off to the side of the trail so a group of jeepers could pass, luckily they were able to winch me out, didn't take pics of that though as that was pretty embarrassing.

Poser Flex shots.

Truck made it half way up Big Mommas Hill which is a little side trail with lots of big rocks on a very very steep inclination. Got stuck on this damn rock almost made it up it, but gave up after the 6th try.

---- this rock.

Pics from the fire that came through here a couple weeks ago with some poser shots,

And the Only Damage Besides The Million Scratches Down The Side Of It.

Cool pics. I've ran lefthand a couple times in the Bronco. Fun trail. Crowded for sure.

I heard it closed. Must just be closed to shooters.

It was way drier and rockier than I was hoping, but oh well.

It sucks, but I guess I'll be doing what my dad suggested last week and just painting the truck satin black, so that when I do scratch it I can just touch it up with a cheap can of spray paint.

They've closed quite a bit of it down, most of the side trails and obstacles on it have been closed. Shooting there is banned, because all of them Boulder people decided they would buy up a lot of the land up there and put a house within 1000-1500 feet away from the trail.

BTW how the hell did you get your Bronco up there, there were quite a few places where I was telling my truck to tuck its gut in as I squeezed passed trees with like 2" on each side from hitting them.

Yeah I would have, but I have no way of airing them back up, I still gotta get the on board air system I have sitting out in the shed installed.

They closed the area down to shooters due to fire danger. Or at least that is what the excuse is. Depending on weather conditions, it could be re-opened in some time.

There are a lot of irresponsible, dumb-*** shooters who go up there. Way to much trash is left up there. If it was better kept, I don't think it would be as big an issue. People abuse it, thats for sure.

The Bronco was real tight in spots as well. Few inches from a couple different trees. I definitely remember sweating hard on a few spots. Luckily got out with only smashed dual exhaust tail pipes and some decent sized trail pin striping.

No kidding, at the beginning of the trail where carnage canyon use to be there's nothing but trash, all the no shooting signs have been shot so many times, there's almost nothing left of them.
Pics of all the trash.

Lefthand has some good trails. Pics look good and sounds like you beat the **** out of your truck.

Also, your truck looks alot different since last time I saw it.

Sweet truck! Looks like a fun time, great weather and all! You only have a 3 inch body lift on that thing?

Yeah, it was fun, a lot more rockier and the soil there was way looser than I thought it was going to be. Which led to be beating the **** out of the truck. I went there to find the trucks limits and I defiantly found them. Now I want to do a muddy trail or a trail with lots of water crossings.

Yeap, 3" body lift, 33" tires and maxed out the torsion bars.

Next big thing I do to the truck is a solid axle with a 3 link with coil over's. 4 link with coil over's in rear eventually. Dana 60s front and rear, with either a explorer 5.0 or a cummins 4bt. With eventually down the line, full tube chassis with exo and inner roll cage.

Nice, I haven't done China Wall yet, but it's on my list of trails to do. Tuesday I plan on running T-33A Plane Crash if anyone else is wanting to go. Tried to run it last year but it was still snowed in. Hopefully all the snow has melted by now.

cool pics, nice truck too. try tossing some smaller rocks in the hole before the ledge. also looks like you had a little room on the right, did you try it a few feet over that way?

Yeah I tried to take it at a few diff angles. Off to the right was very very loose soil, about 5 or 6 inches deep of nothing but fine powered. Which is what about the hole trail was made of, thick loose fine powered dirt and loose 4 to 5 inch in size rocks. But in all honesty I don't think my 4wd was working at the time, especially after what I found on the truck today. The front tires should of at least helped pull the rear up the rock. I think the rear just pushed the front over the rock.
