i finally got around to doing it. I botched the HVAC temp colors up a bit but thats fixable. on to the pics. And thanks to TrePaul and Takeda for your write ups!!!

i need to do this to my truck! i looks awesome.. how long did it take you to get the whole gauge cluster and everything apart? was that part pretty easy? did you have to take color off? because mine is turquoise right now..

 

Looks like it came out pretty good!

 

it doesnt take me more than 20 to 30 minutes to get the cluster out. just take your time because its mostly plastic back there. use a straight razor to get the faces off and i sanded the entire thing off the back til it only showed white. i used a translucent model paint from the local hobby shop

the night shots never do the dash lights justice. i have red as well, took kinda the same approach, just used red taillight tape to cover the numbers after i sanded off the green. I didnt paint the bulbs, but mine looks pretty much identical to yours.

Only thing i dont like bout red lights is when its not totally dark out, the lights look kind of pink..but oh well. Red > typical blue anyday!

so you bought the LED twist in bulbs. I thought they gave as much light as did the stock ones.. I mean I thought the whole point of LED was to solder the bulbs together and make it super bright...

im thinking of putting some red light strips under the dash to illumiante the floors
im trying to be as non-ricey as possible so its just a thought

 

my buddy put purple ones illuminating on the floor in his dodge and he has red ones in his power stroke, both add a ncie tough at night time i like them both

 

As far as the floor lights looking non ricey the key is dont overdue it. dont go extremely bright, and make sure nothing is visible without actually looking under the dash, And hardwire it, dont use a cig plug to power them

i want to run them to some sort of switch too

 

Try to find on of the micro switches they have for alarm systems so that its not to bulky, and hook the lights up to a relay so it wont burn up the micro switch.
