Reverse lights installed! redone expo bezel

Got my reverse lights installed this yesterday. They are just cheap fogs but work great for what I need. I wired the lights up to come on with the reverse lights and I have a switch in the cab to turn them on when I need them.

Also sprayed my bezel grey and re-did the shave on the defrost switch, the first time I used glazing putty and it was to ridged and as the truck vibrated it cracked so I did it again with plastic weld. Its holding up much better, also LED'd both my fog switches and changed the indicator light on the second one to amber.

The ashtray switches are sweet, how about Flashing LED Indicator Lights on the outside to let you know the switches are on. (Rat Shaq has the flashing LEDs all set up for 12 V)
It will draw some attention and get you talking about the mod, nice, I like it.

Also, Silver Faces Gauges, Silver Center Bezel, and Heater Panel… Lvl II ?

Just thinking… how about a Silver Faced Radio… ?

Thanks guys its just a regular fx4 so it came with the silver gauges and bezel but I painted the expo bezel and the HVAC is from an explorer. I have been on the look out for a cheap silver pioneer but no luck yet and it may be to much silver.

The switches actually turn off as soon as the ashtray is closed, (the lid comes down and hits the back of the 2 rockers perfectly) and they are lighted already. Keeps me from forgetting they are on.

Its a combination of a lot of paint, started with duplicolor high fill primer and a lot of sanding. then I used 6-8 coats of duplicolor metalcast ground coat (gives a nice silver), next came a light coat of duplicolor metalcast "smoke" to match the factory grey/silver color. Then last but not least was the clearcoat, I used Duplicolor paint shop clear. everything comes in a spray can from your local auto part store except the clear it is a paint can and I sprayed it through an airbrush. I wet sanded between most of the coats to get a nice even finish its not perfect but darn close and I am happy with it.
