Not the first time up at the track but the first with the ranger. did well for what it is LMAO. All my runs were extremely consistant all 16.2 with 16.5 being the slowest 2wd launch spun hard. But over all i had a great night. have some pics and a vid tires screamed the entire track guy on the loud speaker "listen to that fellas tires roar" got a kick outta it lol. but on to the knock off/ loose list ill scan race slips tomorrow

Something must have been wrong with the Monte Carlo SS. I don't know anything about them, but i'd assume they are faster then a Ranger.

 

I like how the "Civic turbo (broke axle launching) " counts as a win. lol

Plus nice on the amount of times you got to run. I love how the slip shows what car's are what. Or at least maker. It makes it less likely to bullshit someone into thinking you are faster than you really are.

 

Good to see you still got your truck. I cant believe you even took it to the track and take a chance on breaking it with all the problems you have seemed to have with it lol.

Times where very consistent. The slip says Ford and Amelia or what ever and those are the lane sponsors. Look at my windshield and the number on the ticket

 

Engine runs fine and the trans is brand new. That shift kit in the trans really helps

If it was an 06 monte ss it had the 5.3L v8 in it same as the pontiac grand prix GXP. Which is a mid-high 13 sec car stock. I could see you winning if it had the anemic 3.5 in it, but that isn't available in the SS. So this is BS, or your buddy can't drive an automatic car for the life of him..

oh word. thats not to bad then. ive been there a couple times. never seen a lambo or a s8 there the times ive gone. mostly old muscle cars some newer muscle cars, trucks, and the ricer hondas

 

LOL. Way to provide this info NOW. Would have made more sense to do it when I pointed out there was no way the Ranger is faster then the SS. It would have made even more sense to put it in your original post...that way people didn't have to call you out on it.

Wikipedia says 04-05 mc ss got a 3.5 supercharged, then 06-07 got the 5.3

 

it was actually a SC 3.8. same motor I had in my GTP. even then it had 240hp and 280 ft lb of torque and was a low-mid 14 sec car.

Now if it was an 00-04 SS it had an n/a 3.8 that only made 200 hp. A 4.0 SOHC ranger is definitely as quick, if not a bit quicker then those.

unless I'm reading the slip wrong, I'd say you need to work on your reaction time, LOL.
