Nice man I'd love a JK 4dr. I thought those had 6spd? The TJ's had 6spds the last couple of years.

I was supposed to pick up a 4 dr Rubi instead of the 150 so I've been accumulating parts and toys for one, but I couldn't tow my TJ with the Ranger while its on the trailer ...
I'll get one in the next year or two. The wife wants to trade her car in on a new F-150 now so new jeep has to wait yet again...

 

Give her yours and get a 4 door rubi!

I know better than to give my wife a V-8 let alone an AWD V-8 ...

She can have the FX-2 with the Eco in it ...

JK stuff- 4 inch lift, rock rails for a 4dr, Warn 9.5ti for the front, XRC 8 for the rear bumper ( or to replace my warn on the TJ which ever comes first) , set of rsx 9000's to go with the lift. Rockhard Full sports cage , and a Spiderweb shade....

Most of the stuff I've won in raffle's at jeep events , some I've bought. The rock rails were given to me from a friend.
I have a full sports cage in my TJ and knew that I would get one for the next jeep so I pretty much just went and did it before the price went up. It's gone up about $60 + the shipping difference already.

The owner of Spiderweb shade is a friend and I got it just to harass him some more...

How do you like it so far?

 

So far so good!

Its a little noisy on the freeway with the soft top but not too bad. Drives rather well, but not as good as the truck which was expected. On my trip to LA I think I averaged around 17 MPG but I was caught in a lot of traffic which didn't help.

 

17's pretty good to be honest. I average 17 - 18 where I am but it's 95% highway / backroad driving.

The noise thing is all Jeep. The sail cloth top does make it quieter, and with the spiderweb shade it helps too, it's definalty cooler inside with both on too.. but still more noise than the ranger and 150.

Enjoy the jeep.

 

Mine was rated at 17 city for the new V6 so I guess if I hit that I am happy. I probably could have gotten 20 if there wasn't any traffic.

And I think the noise is a lot more then the F150 since I never heard anything but I didn't buy this because I wanted it quiet. So its no big deal to me.

I got a few compliments on it the last few days so thats cool.

 

Just don't go get one of those god awful "its a jeep thing" or "if you can read this roll me over" stickers. we'll have to stage an intervention if you do.

I just puked a bit. Im sorry, i have a beloved hatred to all things dodge chrysler and jeep. They used to be nice, now i cant even think of saying the same thing.


BUT!!! im sure you'll enjoy it and it will be perfect for you, just not me. :) Looks good! i do like the color.
