You said your in the process of building a new motor? Or you already have? If so what are you hoping awhp? Or have you already dyno'd it? P.S. Lets see some track times. :-D

I rebuilt the motor when the car had 400 miles on it, basically new. Numbers are 657whp/558fpt, on a mustang roller dyno. Same one I tune on almost daily. Spent 1000 miles after that breaking things in on E85 with 10psi wastegate springs on a 38mm gate. It's a pretty normal build with the exception of my ti-rods and strange compression 9.3:1, I did that so I could set the electronic limiter to 10.2K. It's pretty fast for a street car - I didn't want it to be too unfriendly for DD. I'm trying for 50K before I rebuild. Only broke 2nd gear once so far - now they are straight cut, which makes it really whiny. I need to regear soon. I'm more of a top speed guy not 1320. Nothing special, I work on cars much faster all the time.

I have a buddy who got a colt vista and threw a 4g in it. 20g with a bunch of bolt ons...I was amazing the looks he got out of it...He took the motor out and put it in a regular colt though. Currently I have another friend making his colt awd 4g.

 

I like 2g 4wd dsm's and older jdm evo's. One of my dream cars is the 6.5TME.

On a side note... how do you have anything modified in CA? Don't you get executed for that?

 

Don't know the specific specs for the 6.5tme? I will say the evo 6 is super sexy! That is my second fav. My love is the evo 2. Super hot. I love to old ones just because they are so low key. Just like if you didn't know what an old talon was you would not expect it. Love the evo's just because 4 doors are awesome. Carry your friends and smash around. Everyone has a door if you need to get out of somewhere quick. Not gonna lie...I'm a toyota guy at heart....Sorry old toyota guys. Screw the sh!tty new crap.

Bump for question regarding GM motor in mustang

 

Mine never see's snow, or rain even, or even weather under 50F. I don't drive it much - about 400 miles last year.

 

Bought it cheap and stripped (buddy did the 03 cobra swap into his 88 gt). Doing something different, I don't want to put the money into building a modular motor as I am trying to buy a house currently and would like a newer truck. Made the most economical sense to get it going and fairly quick. They make great power and it is different.

It really is not much to look at. The fox has been getting my attention (and wallet) more.

 

I understand the no money to spare. Plus to many projects to know what to do with. Hopefully in time. Just like was said in the other thread...Keep us updated.
