Ace he does not have a BL.
I went out and looked ant took pictures of how they mounted without a BL. The actually are touching the cab on the left side of the truck. I'll be interested to see what happens when I flex. Hopefully it'll just bed that little tab on the cab and that will be the end of it. I'll post pics. up in a few.

Yea, it's a 94 single cab longbed(i think). It's a prerunner project so would these just be a waste of money?

Zack I was bored the other day at work and jack the side of my Jeep about a foot and they did not move. So I think yours should hold the weight of the Ranger with no problem.

This is the same design of many sliders that I've seen. All have held up well to hits, scrapes, bangs etc. I don't see any reason why these would not perform. Mine are similiar just flared out a bit towards the rear and they've held up great to rocks. I've seriously (hard hit, holding up passenger side of truck) used them once and I was super impressed.

Yeah Bryan I dont have any doubts that they will not hold up. The weakest spot is going to be the welds to the frame IMO.
