i have a 1984 ford ranger..its has either 170 or 270 or 370 thosand miles lol idk but the cam is wore out..it has chunks took off on the lobes lifter and guides rattles and when have load on it like shifting into a higher gear it will make a low clunk and then smoke like a diesel lol i was wondering if anyone had some good advice for it..either back to the stock 2.0 cam with new everything in the head or add a 2.3 head or add a 2.3 stock cam or what ever just need some advice other then noooo power what so ever i enjoy the gas milleage due to alot of fishing lol so tell me what u think n let me know pls ty and sorry for so long

 

either go with a rebuilt engine or rebuild your lower end with that many miles or you put it together and from doing it before myself there is no short cuts.
