Antifreeze leak from rear of engine

Hey guys I have a question. I have a 1990 ranger 2.3 and almost 100k. It has started to leak antifreeze from somewhere in the back of the motor. I thought head gasket but it seams to leak running or not. Never overheated it and the oil looks good. I notice a line that runs around the back of the block from a T in a heater hose. Just not sure on this one. Not as easy to work on as my 68 f100. Any help on this and I would be gratefull.

It's probably where the heater hoses connect to the hearter core. That area has been problematic on my truck. I replaced the heater core thinking that was it but it was just the bad hose connection. It is located on the passenger side of the rear engine area, and the core itself is in a box inside the cab on the passenger side.

Good Luck!

if it the heater core you''l get coolant in the cab but i would just check the hose conecctions. just follow you coolant lines and make sure everything is coneccted good

i have a 91 2.3L and I had the same problem as you and I found out I had a pin hole in that line that runs on the back of the engine, So I just change that line out with a rubber hoses and then changed all of my hoses on my truck! It has been working fine for about a year now!

Powerranger420, thanks for the tip. It looks like I have the exact same problem and my heater core connections were not the cause. i'll check that hose around the back of the engine. I didn't notice that hose before so i'll just have to look more carefully.
