code 1443

About 3 weeks ago my check engine light came on 95 2.3L Ranger. l purchase a OBD2 code reader. l pluged in the code reader and it said 1443 is a Evaporative Emission Control System Control Valve. l replaced the valve and the light went off. About a week later my light came on again with the same 1443 code. l also replaced the valcum lines and the PCV valve. Anyone have any ideas???

OH yeah, I forgot to say, sounds like I'd try to track down a vacuum leak first.

It's a common code on 1995~97 Rangers. It could be a leak in the evap lines from the tank to the carbon canister but most often it is caused by a failure of the Purge Flow Sensor, located near the canister by the DS headlight, IIRC.
