Mileage.....

Hey, to all the people with older Rangers (like '96 and older) that stil have the stock motor and trans, how many miles are currently on your motor? I was just wondering how many my motor will take before finally blowing (it currently has a little over 206K).

haha yeah, this motor has a lot of miles on it (it's a '96). I am surprised it has lasted this long. I haven't had to do any major part replacements on it either.

Your engine's life depends on how hard of a life it's lived.

my new 87 has 232000 and a spun bearing, most likely because the previous owner let the oil get too low

heh, 296K miles and i beat the ever living crap out of this sucker. no engine work, just regular timing belt and waterpump and coolant changes at every 100K miles and oil changes at every 10K miles. still pushes my 31s anywhere i want em to go.
