new to me 96 ranger

OK here goes i bought one of the old work trucks from my boss it has the 2.3 liter 8 plug engine in it. i did a tune up[ on it thing runs great now... anything i should now about this engine like if i pop a timing belt is it going to ruin the engine.. or is there any lil mods to get a little more power out of it?

the 2.3 is a non interference motor, meaning you won't hurt the motor if the timing belt breaks. If it has over 100K on it, you should change the timing belt, its not worth the risk of getting stranded when it breaks. How many miles on yours?.

its got a lil over 90k on the new motor and clutch

I think ford says to "check" the belt at 120K, so you may be alright for a while yet.
