Upper radiator hose sliced

So after i left my house today i get a call from my dad. He said there was anti-freeze in my parking spot and was wondering what i was doing. I had no idea what he was talking about so i pulled over to check it out. After i open the hood, i find that half of my engine compartment is covered in anti-freeze. So i lifted up the upper radiator hose to find a slit in it from the A/C compressor belt. So i hurried back to the house to park it. He ran up to Pep Boys and got a replacement for 11 bucks. So we put that in and it looked to have a clearence of about 2 mili-meters (between the hose and belt). So i go to my girlfriends house which is 40 miles away, and back... so about 80 miles. I check it when i get home and saw that there was still a mark on the hose from where it was rubbing.

I don't ever remember this hose being so close to the belt... But 2 weeks ago, i had a new thermostat installed in it, so it could have been moved around enough to slice it...

Anyone have any ideas on how to move the belt or keep it from being rubbed? Or does anyone have any pictures on how it should look?

now I have no idea of the routing of your hose, but any hose with a turn or kink in it can be moved by making the hose smaller
see on your old one how on the left side in the photo there is some extra rubber past where the radiator hose clamped it
if you cut some rubber off that side and can slip the hose further onto the neck of the pipe it will move in that direction hopefully away from the belt
or if making the other side shorter will put the hose in a better position trim some hose material off from that side

That is what I would do or try.....

It turns out that the hose was replaced upside down from the Mazda dept. So i took the new one and flipped it over, and now it rises above the compressor belt.
