I love jeeps. You wanna have a great 4x4 then get an old one. They are cheap(but not really that cheap, they hold value compared to vehicles of the same age) but I wouldn't really expect to be mobbing at 40 with one as effectively as a ranger. But a 3000$ jeep will be a very nice 4x4 vehicle.
