But like I said it's your truck. And I can appreciate the desire to take your truck and turn it into what you want.
It varies I believe just like ranger's do. More then likely probably 3.73s. I would guess. Seems like that's a pretty standard gearing for a baseline model.

me and a friend got on his gear calc. and found out if i got 3.73 gears in my rear end ( with 33's) that it would still even out to stock performance .. * in overdrive*....
..so if i can find a ford SUV rear end (8.8) of a year modle that fits my ranger with these gears(3.73) ... all i got to do is rebuild the rear end or do minor tweaks to it. and then i got strong enough rear end to support the tires for everyday driving and then some.
.
***now do ya agree with this statment?.. ***
.
. JUST WOUNDERING?
.
can i swap out front coils with a 4.0 v-6 4x2 ranger OR ANY RANGER WITH A BIGGER MOTOR .. for more lift in the front?

I have a 4.0L ranger pushing 33s and thats enough man it would take so much torque to push 38s in mud i just went down 2 mile swamp lastnight and got stuck up to the doors for a bit and it took a lot of backing up and moving forward lol .... my ranger on 33s turns heads enough and its a cheaper build less strain on the truck where im from noone buds mini trucks and im from a town where 613 trucks started and almost everyone had a loaded truck
