For anyone interested, here is the DS 1-piece MOOG UCA laid above the factory part for comparison. The picture doesn't show it that well but the body of the MOOG ball joint is considerably larger than the factory part. Unlike the stocker, the MOOG joint is greasable and can be replaced in the future without buying yet another UCA assembly. This is right out of the box, so the zerk fitting is not yet installed.

So since they are no longer making the 2 piece version can the one piece version be used without any problems? I was going to replace mine this summer but never got around to it and I wanna do it in the near future while I still have the cash.

That's what Ford did in mid 2003MY - just switched over to the one piece PS arm. I would think that yours would accept the new style arm as well. From what I've seen, the price for the complete 1-piece UCA is about the same as just getting the ball joint carrier part of the 2-piece style.

Napa gave me a set made by TRW but they ended up being wrong the ball joint was to close to the frame by like an inch. I was in the middle of the RCD lift and figured i might as well replace them while i was taking stuff off. Napa didn't have any other part numbers or anything else to look up so i gave up. I called advanced and auto zone they had nothing, no part number nothing.

Edit: Maybe I ticked someone off at S&H the first time I talked to them. The next time I went in, I got a different counter guy and the price was $115 and $120 for the PS and DS 1-piece arms.
What is S&H short for, or is that a local shop ?

Assuming its a local shop whould they ship them to me ?

It is S&H Brake Distributing in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I don't know if they ship them or not but their phone number is posted above.

These MOOG parts are available just about anywhere. Use the MOOG part numbers posted above and don't let them tell you different. Many of the parts store books and computer listings are wrong.

If you want to order online, Rock Auto shows them for around $100 each plus shipping.

Well I got mine tonight. Place around here had the old style 2 piece sitting on the shelf. I paid 120 a piece but I had to get them since my truck failed inspection today for ball joints and rear axle seals. Gonna be installing the ball joints tomorrow.
