why are you going to put a flipkit on?

unless you put some beams up front dont bother with a flipkit out back even if you unflip your hangers, you will be riding cali style static which is stupid and blinding everyone with your headlights?

I hope I'm not bringing this back from the dead but I am planning on flipping my leaf spring hangers this weekend and I have a question. It looks like the driver side one with the Parking brake attached to it will hit on the bed. Am I just worrying to much or will it actually hit? I use my parking brake everywhere I go so I can't just eliminate it. Thanks in advanced for answers!

Sounds like you're looking at the front hangers? The ones you should be flipping are the rear ones, with the shackle attached to them.

You only flip the rear hangers? Not the fronts too? Thanks!

Well........Beltech does make "lowering spring mounts" that replace both, achieving up to 5" or more of drop. HOWEVER, I foresee some interference issues with flipping them, especially with the driver side mount, and the parking brake cable mount, as previously stated.

That said, if it doesn't work, you can always flip them back, and it may work great.

Maybe Mark has some more knowledge on this?

Edit: pretty sure you would need a frame notch if you flipped both and it worked, also some pinion angle shims.

last time I heard someone flipped both front and backs or maybe it was just the fronts they broke a driveshaft due to the pinion angle.

so its a no go unless its a aftermarket hanger up front like the roush kits

Thanks guys! I'm just going to play it safe and flip the rears in an effort to just level it out. Maybe later on I will do the front, and more with the rear, but for now I am just looking to level it out, and I'd rather not go higher in the front just because It's a 2wd and I don't plan on going anywhere off the road with it, lol. Thanks for all the help guys! I'll post pics before and after.

Alright well....crappy news. My truck decided not to want to strat yesterday at the hardware store getting the nuts and bolts and washers. Thankfully it is a manual so we push started it and off I went to....only to go home and fix that problem instead of lower it. Looks like it will be next Sundays Project now...I'll keep this post updated with my before pics soon. Thanks for the help guys.

You can still get the Belltech coils. Haven't found any others I would trust for your years.
