Its sitting outside the shop. I have an issue with the fitting on the high-pressure (output) line coming from the pump - it leaks! (I had a custom hose made and got the wrong type of fitting). Hoping to have it sqaured away by tomorrow evening and driving it home.

Have you had it on the expressway driving yet? I'd like to know how it drives and handles from 0-70.

I wanna see some flexing now!!
Finally got the tires re-balanced today (most of the weights had fallen off during the time they were sitting around outside the shop waayy back, before they were even on the truck for mock-up). On that note.. I hadn't driven up to speed on the freeway (highway/expressway) yet because of that reason. Even going 45-50 (65 limit) it handled exceptionally well. So on my way from 4 Wheel Parts to here I was up to 70 and it was just fine.

Flexing will come.. I'm trying to focus my time on getting the truck armor (front/rear bumpers, sliders) done. I'm hoping to get the gears and clutch taken care of next week so I can be up for the challenge of this So Cal meet we're trying to get together.

How's THAT for some progress?? Haha

I'm making a new rear bumper.. have some rock sliders in the works, and a new front bumper as well - one that matches the look of the truck better.

Going back to the shackle, I wouldn't mess with it for now. You've hardly got any miles on the truck and if those are new leaf springs they're going to settle and when they do the flattening will push the shackle back some and maybe it'll be just right then. Otherwise, I agree the angle is not optimum. Might even out though.

Very nice looking overall with a nice high steer setup and all.

For me, it's also too high -- but then mine is my daily driver and handling on the street is important. I believe Ranger1's tragedy was in part because his truck was so high when he had to do emergency maneuvers.

But you can't argue that it looks anything but great. How long before you offroad it?

My SAS using F-150 coil suspension is coming up. I won't be offroading again until fall most likely and I'm "jonesing", lol...

Looks good. When do you get a front d-shaft?

I'd loose the body lift, but that's me.

Thanks Zach.

Though I've been runnning into some issues with my front left hub/bearing assembly. A couple weeks back I had the outer bearing explode. This caused some extensive damage which took about a week to get replacement parts. I got it drivable again last Monday, but on Sat. the same sqeak that had appeared just prior to the bearing exploding the 1st time came back. So now my truck is sitting in my drive waiting for the next step.

I'm very confused, as I thought when I "rebuilt" the hub the most recent time that I had all the correct parts and whatnot. It appars this is not the case though. So my next step is to get the truck to a local shop who can handle rebuilding hubs.

The other big headache is the towing. Cautioning on the side of not driving it as to not have the bearing take a dump again.. I was told Saturday night that my AAA coverage isn't valid because of the size of the truck/tires. I'm not sure how true this is or whatever bullsh!t might be involved. So tomorrow I gotta find out and specific guidelines regarding that.

Its just been a VERY fustrating weekend, and few weeks on top of that.

As I know you are very aware, all these little things that just keep nagging - all of those things that are taken care of in the R&D phase of a new truck design. Well now WE'RE the R&D phase!

lol man i know exactly what you are going through! I am just starting to get the issues resolved, next weekend should have me pretty well set.

I really like the high steer and your steering setup, BEEF. I kinda wish you would have went with coils but still looks good with the leafs.

is the lean getting better? or does it still lean pretty bad? Sway bar would prolly make it better.
