Softest lifted ride

Softest lifted ride
Ok so i'm gonna lift the truck sometime in the future. I would love to roll 35"s double lifted but thats a long way away cause thats going to regearing. I'm going to go ahead and get a suspension lift but I was wondering what in your guys opinion was the most comfortable ride. I've heard AALs ride rough, so could I just go with shackles? Would shackles plus the stock blocks give me enough lift to still equal a spindle up front? I want to run 33"s but still give it room to flex.

deaver F31 leaf springs with your OEM shackle and OEM lift blocks (should be 2.5 inches) will give you 2.5 inches of lift. And depending on how much you lift the truck, you might be able to get away with just using a leaf pack (deavers, or whatever) and NOT run lift blocks, which will reduce or negate axle wrap.
OR you could do the cost effective spending and get 33x10.50x15s and run them on your EDGE suspension, which is the same as the t-bar 4x4 suspension. WITHOUT having to worry about flex! That is unless you're driving your truck at high rates of speed while going over significant bumps, at which point you'll bottom out your front end suspension cycle, resulting in too much up-travel of the tire and thus causing it to rub on the wheel well shrouding.
Of course, I've also argued with you over this before. So, for the 3rd (???, maybe 4th?) time, and speaking from EXPERIENCE with the SAME suspension, except I have a front drive shaft and transfer case, you can run 33s! I ran 33s on my stock suspension with just a 1inch t-bar crank from 8-11-06 until 7-3-07 when I put the RCD kit and deaver leaf springs on. FWIW, ride is a helluva lot better than stock, especially with the deavers in the rear. Softer ride, more articulation (flex).
Oh, and if you go the deaver route (F31 springs) Dixon Bros Racing sells them for $575 shipped. Of course 98% of forum-goers on here at too busy making their trucks look pretty and impractical, instead of making them useful and better. The only persons, aside from myself and off the top of my head, that don't fall into this are N3lz, Rwenzing, rngprerunner, and a few otehrs I'm spacing out on.

The only reason i went with aals and shackles is i did not have 600 bucks laying around to spend on new leafs. Hopefully one day ill be able to get a set.

ACTUALLY, I go out to carlsbad every once in a while. I have a friend out there. Not much wheeling wise there, but still a neat area.
EDIT: Give me enough notice too and I'll see if I can get time off. My normal days off are Mon and Tues, but I have students working under me now and so long as my animals at work are covered I can pretty much get the time off.

I hear and understand that. I'd been saving so long for the RCD kit and new rims that I wouldn't have afforded the deavers. BUT, when I was on the phone with RCD for ordering my shackles and a few other goodies to complete my used kit I asked about the alcoa rims. They said I could run em no problem, so I used the money for new rims on a set of deavers. And then I just used a month worth of savings for new rims.
