Guys,

I just discovered I've got a broken leaf spring on the 98 Ranger when I was putting in a new trans. Money is tight at the moment, and I'm curious, where can I find some cheap (i.e. it'll get me back on the road) leaf springs! I'm desperate!

I was leaning toward that myself, but I wasn't sure if anyone had found one of those 'hidden gems' and were willing to share

 

um this thing called craigslist.

 

I absolutely have tried craigslist, but there are only a couple listings in the area for Rangers. Believe me, it was the first place I thought to go

 

hmm yeah I'd just hit up a local salvage yard that has a few rangers. You could also just swap in a set of explorer leafs but those will give you some extra lift.

 

I grabbed a a pair of leaf packs for my truck from the JY for $40. For that price they even removed them for me.
