Coilover Conversion Hardware
That's sucks that y'alls stuff didn't come with hardware.
My stuff came last week, not impressed. Stuff's not centered, splatter not cleaned off, just looks rushed imo. Let's hope they fit.

I still need two bolt lengths, but here's what I'm going to use:
4 - 1/2 x 2 3/4 Grade 8 Bolts
6 - 1/2 x ?? Grade 8 Bolts
8 - 3/8 x ?? Grade 8 Bolts
20 - 1/2 Grade 8 Flat Washers
16 - 3/8 Grade 8 Flat Washers
10 - 1/2 Grade 8 Nyloc Nuts
8 - 1/2 Grade 8 Nyloc Nuts

I was also told that they were supposed to come with hardware... obviously that didnt happen. lol

8- 3/8"x1.25 (lower bracket)

16- 3/8" steel grade 8 washers
ALL HARDWARE SHOULD BE GRADE 8

IMHO...
It is a nice thought but the only thing I can see that you might want to consider would be the actual shock mounting bolts, ORW has no responsibility to supply a kit of bolt for special kit.

I don't think Nick is offering the bolts free of charge, just as an added option.

ORW is nice to offer but then again how many Bolt Kits would they sell, how many people will make a Coil-Over Brkt Kit just like Jacob’s, how many of the people that buy the Coil-Over Brkt Kit will buy the Bolt Kit or how many are already installed. Most guys want to get their own bolts because of the way they want it to look or work or for some other guy reason.

I don't post much on the forums any more but this has drawn my attention. I have to agree with Matt here. There are several key problems. Those pinholes over time with stress with turn into cracks and other problems, where the undercut is there is also a good oppourtunity for a crack to form and the part to fail. With metal that thick it would have been wise to weld a single bead as your "root" pass, with two/three welds covering that forming the face. While not as pretty as a single pass it would have been much safer. Whoever welded and fabricated these parts really needs to go back and learn some fundamentals before he/she makes more parts. I say all of this for your safety,as well as, if your gonna put all this time and money into coilovers you want them to function correctly as well as to hold up over time right? With these brackets they will not stand up, I repeat WILL NOT stand up. Please do not take offense to this as that is not my intent. Just trying let you know about what will happen.

I can say no-one is perfect, and my bracket's are fixed and hopefully will be on the truck this weekend. I started that thread, and I was really surprised at how ridiculous people can get. As I stated in that thread. THe ranger forums on the net are supposed to be a place for sharing mods, maintenance. What goes on over on RPS seems to be some drama.
OFF ROAD WAREHOUSE WILL NOW BE OFFERING THE COIL-OVER CONVERSION BRACKETS AND HARDWARE.
I just received an e-mail from Jacob yesterday asking me if ORW would be interested in making the coil-over conversion brackets. I told him that this has been something that we had started to look into, like some of you know and should be finished this week. I'm hopping to have a few sets cut out by Saturday and have more available in 2wks. The parts will all be cut out using a water jet and then mig welded. Should be a nice piece when finished. The cost should be relatively close to the same, with the exception that they will come with hardware. As soon as I get a price, you guys will be the first to know.
I'm also thinking of offering a package deal with the shocks which will offer even more savings for RF members that are still interested in doing the conversion.

More like a group of guys with more experience in the welding department than Shadow. I'm in the process of learning how to weld and they look like that...
that doesn't mean you have to act like an ***...like some of them did. There's a difference in explaining to someone a fault they identify, passing on knowledge AND being cocky, imature, and rude. That's what I didn't like. The way they came across was wrong.
