Ask your dad if he keeps four jackstands and a hydraulic jack in his car to replace a flat tire. This is stupid.
It's not a freaking airplane. All you are doing is removing the weight off of the torsion bars to make the bolts easier to turn. You can use just a jack if you like, lift it just high enough so the tires are barely touching (maybe 3"). If it somehow collapses, your truck will come down 3", maybe 4" if it dropped fast. Two jackstands under the front with the rear tires blocked is more than safe.
You think i wanted it to turn into this? lol.

first off stfu. your telling me that you would get under a vehicle on just a jack? um ok good idea. your just another ******* that likes to talk ****. oh and he isnt a virgin, your just a dumb ***

Your'e just way overthinking this, if its that big of a problem dont jack it up the bolts are just harder to turn that way, or if you guys really have that much money to blow to have someone do something this easy for you send some my way!

Im sorry but if somebody backs into you it will come off the stands wiether you have 2 or 4 it wont matter. Not trying to be a dick or ***.

The way i look at it if you put it on 4 stands that are on the frame you are narrowing the space between the supports making it easier to fall off side to side. leaving the back tires on the ground would keep the back end of the truck with the normal full width or support. as long as the parking break was set and the tires blocked front and back it shouldnt move.

Hey look it says you don't need jack stands,
Crank Your Ford Ranger Torsion Bars

Just crank them and be done it will only take a few minutes to do. And for what it's worth I de-compress my suspension every time i do an oil change with out jack stands and have never had a problem. If you in Oregon I'll just do it for you.

you and your dad should engineer a concrete driveway, lol. or a vehicle lift.

anyways i called last week and most shops that do allignments will also make adjustment WITHIN REASON and do the allignment after for around 70-80 bucks.

Snowwheeler, I get the impression that anyone who is not your dad is an idiot? I'm only 22 and because of that I don't know ****? I can do an engine swap in my truck in my driveway but I can't Jack up a vehicle? I would be more worried about breaking off one of the bolts than having all four corners on Jack stands.

Maybe you should work on your truck more often and get some real world experience before you go ahead and ***** us out over something stupid.
