Crazy Lift Idea

Its been along time since I have been on here, Ive been working on my mustang alot and I also bought a SVT Focus. Lately at work I have been working on a lot of trucks with bigger wheels and tires and some with lifts and it makes me want to lift my truck. Which was my original plan when I got he truck but got an offer I couldnt pass up on lowering it. But Ive been low for long enough I want to go up! My truck had 17x9 and 17x10 Fr500s on it, but one day I found a crack in one of the front 17x9s so I took them off and now I have the stock wheels back on.

So here is my idea:
Remove my lowering kit
Buy 2 more 17x10 FR500s to match the rears
But some 33s for them
Lift my truck, 5 or 6 inches (I cant remember what is needed for 33s)
Install some 4.56 gears and a traction lock

What do you think of my crazy idea?

Heres the latest picture of my truck that I have

dont. im one of those posers that says lifting a 2wd truck is pointless... unless you plan on building it into a prerunner in which case, youre not really lifting it anyway lol

Mall crawler. Its nice to roll around and not just be average height.

What are you planing on doing Spindles and a bodylift?

Man, Your truck looks really nice as is. I want a lowered truck real bad. But I only have one lifted truck and no other daily drivers. You have two cars and a truck though, so I say for some variety, lift it..... Lowered trucks are sick though!

Im still undecided, I want something different

I would probably go with 3 inch spindles and a body lift

Heres a couple of pics of my other vehicles, just thought I would share

Lift it for sure, you've already got two other cars that out run your ranger easily, if you want to go fast drive those. It will look just as good lifted, plus you will have more variety, do it.

Thanks for your help and comments guys

If I were to do it Im not sure how the wheels would work out because of the offset not being for a lifted truck with big tires.

Also could you guys post pictures of your trucks with 17s and 33s

Got any back end shots of the truck? It looks like you have the TYC tails with the white on top and bottom.

My vote is to leave it and remove the mud flaps. Also the receiver hitch unless you use it.

I really thinking about lifting it, I just keep looking around on here and keep seeing all of the lifted trucks it makes me want to even more.

I think I found the tires that I want, Nitto Terra Grapplers in 295/70/17 (its 33 inch tall tire)

I would go with, a 3 inch spindle lift, coil springs, upper arms, rear shackles (already have them) a AAL, and maybe a small block to make it level and 4 new shocks, Im also really thinking about just getting the camburg kit .

I know Im probably going to have to run big wheel spacers/adaptor to run my black mustang wheels, I think the would look awesome with big tires on them. Ive read and know of some Jeep guys running big wheel spacers with no problems.

Your truck looks great the way it is. If I had a 2wd ranger I would lower just like yours and put some beefy tires on the back, love the look.

if you're gonna lift it, make it looks like a prerunner, not a 2wd mall crawler
