Drag truck please help

I have a 01 ranger standard cab edge, with tbars. I would like to swap a big block into it. But what can I do suspension wise to support that. I know I have to support the frame but what about suspension in the front. It has tbars so how do I set that up for such a big engine and for DragRacing/street

The stock 4cyl and V6 Ranger engines weigh about 450lbs
FE big blocks weigh about 650lbs
So only 200lbs difference.

Open the hood and have some one who weighs 200-250lbs sit on rad support and see how much lower truck sits, you should be able to crank torsion bars tighter to lift it back up

Ironman makes a thicker torsion bar for Rangers if you want

There is also the Coil over conversion for torsion bar Rangers, seen here: https://www.therangerstation.com/Mag...overview.shtml

There are many coil and shock types available for this

If you are racing then you should be pulling out as much weight as possible from the truck as well, so that 200lbs change in the front may not add up to that much once the "extra" stuff is removed
