Freestyle wheels to fit lowered EDGE?

I am wanting to lower my SuperCab EDGE. I want to throw it on some of the Freestyle's 17" wheels......they are a 5-4.5 bolt pattern....I am just concerned about offset.

Can someone give me a hand and let me know if I should run spacers (i know i know).

Any info would be appreciated. Thaks -Eric

Also, how hard is it to lower the rear?

I'm sure its not any more than our 4+" of backspacing stock. I think the stock wheels have 4.25".

The Freestyle uses factory 17" x 8.5" wheels with a 52mm offset. Factory Ranger wheels are 7" width and 12mm offset. Stock Ranger backspacing is 4 1/2" but the extra width and offset will push the Freestyle wheels to about 6 3/4". Unless you resort to something like spacers, I would be willing to bet that the Freestyle backspacing will get you into trouble on the inside.

yepper the offset is to great for a ranger. also if you have an edge the rear is simple to lower just like any other ranger its the front t-bar suspesion thats a pain in the ars to lower

just DONT flip the keys...i tried it for a while but it sucked

u'll get harped like noones bussiness if ya do it...

until they make different keys to lower it more, u're kinda stuck by just unbolting the torsion bar bolts....but hey, thas about a 2-3 inch drop...i cant remember...and u'll still be safe...u'll bottom out often...but hey, its lowered

If Bob is right (is he ever wrong?) and the backspacing is 6.75", then you'll run into major rubbing problems up front. You'll need AT LEAST a 1.5" spacer up front if you still want to be able to turn full-lock.

And if you are getting Freestyle wheels, why not hold out for the optional 18" ones? I think those would be pimp.
