I found them on All Pro..
the normal shackles are $85 a pair, these are $169 a pair but they look like they would allow for more movement.

has anyone seen them in action?

I was gonna use them wayy back originally in the rear, but decided to try just the leafs and see how they flex. I might use 'em at some point (in the rear) if I stay with leafs for awhile.

 

Im thinking about it because when I look at the spring hanger on the front of my friends yoda, the leaf looks like it wants to twist out of the hanger, idk?

They do work. There is alot of twisting force on a leaf spring when flexing. but I wouldnt buy them. Id make them. You can buy those Flex joints for under a 100 for the pair then make your own shackles for them. Would be alot cheaper then 170 bucks.

their 39 from All Pro. and i can get them for $100 a pair with the brackets to weld it to the frame already on there, then put it on the longer shackles that are an inch longer.. idk

i'm not going to have access to torches or plasma cutters where i do my sas..

 

Agreed. If I ran them I'd want a track bar for street use I think. They'll allow more side to side axle movement. If they're for offroad only, no problem.

i'm guessing revolver shackles would also probably be a bad idea for the street then?

 

Revolvers have no business anywhere not on the street and not offroad. They have crappy unloading characteristics and bad sidehilling. Plus by the time they open up theres no weight on the axle and then they dont add any traction.

As for the flex joints acting funny I dont think they would as they dont let the axle move side to side they only allow the leaf springs not to bind on one end.

 

If your worried about flex just switch to a link style suspension with coils. Flex is over rated anyways. If you want to build a ramp queen then go for the flex joints

 

I've encouraged the use of leaves way too much to do coils right now ha
when i link it i'll just skip coils and go to coil overs

thats plenty of flex for me.. considering i've had ifs for 2.5 years now haha

i just want to keep them from binding.. do something different haha

I'm only going to do the All Pro leaves up front for right now and a block in the rear, then when i get the money or get home I'll swap the rears out for All Pros before i worry about getting a front drive line pieced together

 

I didn't see those when I did my sas. So I just ran a bigger bushing with a smaller bolt (I know a bit ghetto, but it acts the same way). Seems to work fine for me.

You be interested in selling your old lift when you sas??

i may hold onto it until i get the new rear leaves so i can sell the AAL and Shackle too though.
