Just bought a BL, need help though????

So I just bought a BL brand spankin new from a guy for 50 bucks. The box has never even been opened so I am thinkin hey I got a good deal. The problem now lies in that I have a 2002 ranger and the kit is for a 98-00. Any ideas on what I should do guys I have already called and the rear bumper brackets are different and I dont know what else is.

Whats a guy to do?

More then likely the bumper brackets for the front will work. Those are just those wierd diagonal U brackets from what I can remember. I thought that was common to all kits, but I've only really seen a 99 kit so no idea really.

The Rear bumper, I have no idea on how they are going to differ, but I mean if you don't want to dick around with it, I'd talk to the Body Lift company and see if you can pick up a set. If you want to go the cheap way, try and make the kit ones work but know they might not even be close.

We installed a 98-00 BL on my roommates 2003 Ranger. I figured we'd be in for a treat because I read the rear bumper brackets were different, but when it came down to it they were exactly the same as the newer kits. They bolted up no problem whatsoever. The only difference between that kit and the newer one was the filler neck extension and we didn't even need it.

Thanks for letting me know. I talked to the guy from PA the makers of the kit and he said the bumper brackets were different and that I could get some for about 30 dollars so not bad. I also have to get the gap gaurds and a shifter extension so overall I should still be way under 200. A pretty good deal I would say.

Now I just need to start saving for tires so that I can put everything on at once. I will let you guys know how it goes.
