Leveling my 2WD

I searched for Leveling Kits but I got a bunch of stuff about '97 I am thinking about Leveling my 2wd '04 and was just wondering is there anything I need to know that was different for my '04.

You can get some front lift coils for pretty cheap of eBay and then just a 2" block in the back. You should be pretty level and 2" higher with that.

im not to sure but i believe you can get F150 coils. (lifts 1.5in)

judging by your picture the truck appears to be an XL. thus means you have coils.

if it was a sport/edge model then it would be as easy as cranking your torsion bars. (the best part is it would be free.)

I've heard you can get Chevy 1500 coils as well.

What year coils do i Need, I also need new shocks right?

Believe F150 coils are only good for the '97 and older trucks.



You can either A: Put on lift coils. Or B: Spacer above the stock coil. You should be able to get away with running the stock shocks. Or just throw on 3" spindles and AAL.

When I want mine to sit level I just make my wife sit in the back between the wheelwells.

I machinined a coil spacer .750 thick and stuck it between my coil and i ibeam mounts, lifted my truck 1.5. Cost was free and time was less then 15 minutes to make. I have been running them for 7 months now and not a problem in the world.

Depends. Chromoly is hard to come by now. Plus i do not remember the bolt size, if i do find my drawing and some steel i will see if i can work something out with my machine shop teacher.
