So awhile back i asked in the drive-terrain section about modding my 4x4 so i could run lift spindles since i would gain more benefit from the extra lift than the 4x4. So I know this can depraciate the value of my truck, but im almost positive i could easily return it to stock. so here are the ?'s. i have been researching and all that seems to be required to run lift spindles on a 4x4 is to

Remove the front differential, driveshaft, and cv's
Change out the 4x4 hub bearings to 2wd wheel bearings
2wd front rotors
and install the lift spindles.

My ?'s are am i missing anything? Are there any problems that result from removing the front differential? will the 2wd wheel bearings be a direct swap?

 

That sounds about right to me, where are you located in NC, I wouldnt mind coming up and giving you a hand with it.

 

Right outside of raleigh. The swap is indeffinite still. i want to make sure i dont have to do anything permanent 1st so i can always swap it back to 4x4 if i want to sell it

 

why why why if your guna lift it keep the 4wd there are ways to do it look around and just keep the 4wd that sounds like alot of work and the first time you get stuck you will be pissed so im thinking keep 4wd and lift it that way.
