lift, gears, tires, tuner (which order?)

ok guys i need help with deciding what order i should do things in, i have 4 things i want to do to my truck
1. Gears (4.30s)
2. Lift (spindle, shackle, AAL, shocks )
3. Tires (33x12.50)
4. Tuner

Tuner is last for sure, but my 18th birthday is coming up and i can get one of these for my birthday. hopefully all of this will happen this summer.

my question is what do you guys think about the order. will 4.30s be good with my current tires (265/75r16) and with the 33's. cuz i really dont want to do the lift without bigger tires, and i dont want to do bigger tires before i do gears. i have 3.55s as it is right now, and those are SLOW

lemme know what you guys think

and tommy, let me know if i can ride in your truck before i get my gears

I think the order you have em in right now is good. Gears and lift could be flipped around. If they all happen pretty close then it doesnt really matter.

Do the gears first. This way you will turn the tread off those tires faster which will mean you NEED new tires. Then the tires and lift will come close together since the tires aren't going to fit properly without the lift. then make sure you have money in the bank for the tuner.

get the most expensive part for your bday heh..

if you dont have the money for the other things up front, you could just let what ever you got sit for a little while.. or wait on getting the bday present until your ready for it..

I say do it in the order you posted. What kind of 33s are you getting? Have you considered 4.56 gears, I know some people run 4.56 & 33s.

well i have 3.55s now with 31.8s so i figure 4.30s will be much better than this even with 33s. and i dont want to do it all at once. im going to do the lift and tires at the same time, but i figured i could do gears now. so i guess the question is now, is 4.30s ok for 33x12.50. and just to clarify, those tires will fit under my truck without rubbing with a spindle lift, correct?

33's will fit fine with a spindle lift. As for the 4.30's they will be good with the 33's also. I think that is the recommended combination according to the TRS chart. Well it was for me anyway.

With 33's and 4.30's towing will not be as nice. It would be easier with the 4.56's but your truck will do it with the 4.30's

yea I'd go with 4.56's, just figure its better to have the get up and go. If I could have gotten an axle with 4.56 gears I would have done it and thats with 31's LOL.

well thats the plan, lift and tires anyways. but even if i dont lift my truck i still want to change my gears. I have 3.55s now, and i towed a 5000lb boat with it, so im leaning toward 4.30 with 33s.

ok so im going to go with 305/70r16 which are 32.8 tall and 12.00 wide. i think 4.30 gears would be perfect for this. and would i have any issues rubbing with a spindle lift? i think this would be the perfect combo, but let me know what you guys think

You should have less rubbing with that setup then you do now. Your essentially adding 1" of tire and 3" of lift.

you dont need shackles if you got AALs, unless your plan is to go bigger in the future
