No desert, but you guys got sand! Dude - takin' a Ranger with 42's out on a beach cruise...... you got it made.

Go for the 42's just for the sake of being one of the tallest out there. I've yet to see any trucks around here (Atlanta) with bigger than 38's.

And for the whole philosophy of lifting deal - my truck's a 2wd which will be lifted mainly for looks. But, it works great as a rig to go camping in and will be able to make it around construction sites a lot better than it would at stock height.

So - to each his own. I say go for it, and take some pictures.
