Load adjusting shocks vs. oedspectrum?

First time posting here, be gentle people!

I bought a 2005 Ranger Edge 2x4 six months ago to replace previous ranger. The 2005 had a smooth ride, like driving a hovercraft. The previous owner lived in the rural area with decent roads, and didn't use the truck for work.

I live in the city where the potholes and roads are comparable to a third world country, and I regularly carry 500 - 700 pound loads for work. It no longer feels like I'm driving a hovercraft, more like a car from the Flintstones.

One thing I gotta do is change the rear shocks, as it's got 160,000 kms and it's on the original shocks.

I want to get that same smooth ride back that I had before, but can't get consistent info about how to do it.

Will Munroe Sensi-tracs load adjusting shocks give me back the smooth ride, or are they more for carrying the loads? With these shocks, will I still cringe on every pothole? Will they raise the rear end, so it will look like I'm driving downhill all the time?

If I go with Munroe Oespectrums, I will get a smoother ride? Will they hold up if I carry cargo on regular basis?

thanks!

I just installed Monroe spectrum on my 2010 sport. They seem pretty good so far(just did them so only have about 1000 miles or less on them). They are stiffer than stock and have a decent ride.
Carrying the weight shouldn't be an issue. I think you will burn your shocks out a little sooner than normal though.

sensatracs installed

So I went and installed the sensatrac load adjusting shocks. Haven't done much of a test drive yet, but acceleration and cornering is better for sure.

they did jack the rear end up a bit, it looks like I'm trying to be cool but didn't have enough money to really do it right. Anyway, I'm posting two photos showing how I installed them, it was really easy with this technique. Squeezed down the shock/spring with a ratchet strap, jacked up the truck a bit by putting the jack under the spring.
