So uh.....what kind of coil compressors did you guys use when installing new coils in your RCD'd trucks????

Should probably bump those 12 other RCD spring threads you got. lol.

So I had to grind down the lil grabber things on the compressor to make them fit on the RCD coils and that went well.... So I put em on, impacted the bolts evenly and got to a point where I had to back them off to relocate them so they would compress the coil more. So I backed them off and somehow the angle on the grabbers bent the bolt, and wouldn't allow it to spin in the collar on the grabber..

Had to drive back to my house and have my neighbor torch them off... So I put them back on and said screw it. I think I'd rather pay someone to do it. It's probably the biggest b!tch there is to do on the RCD.. God Damnit

haha.. ouch, Ya know Trev.. I hate to say it.. but I almost knew that woulda happened

MUCH easier to just go with the guy in a shop using those handy hydraulic compressor's made for that stuff.. I watched my buddy try it on some 750's and whew... If I wasn't busy sweating trying to get them to fit with him, I would have been laughing at the idiocy of how hard it really was
